Equipment
Poindexter brings a fleet of modern, well-maintained equipment to each of our projects. Our current list totals close to 300 pieces of Caterpillar equipment, many of which include the latest technological enhancements such as GPS machine-controlled and laser augmentation grading systems for pinpoint accuracy. We utilize Trimble and AccuGrade GPS equipment. We also have the ability to create our own 3D models with Agtek and do our own conversions in-house with Site Vision Office. This technology helps us work faster, more productively and at a lower operating cost.
Maintenance
We have a state-of-the-art, 28,000 square foot maintenance facility to keep our fleet in top condition. Our maintenance staff handles minor repairs, preventative maintenance and total rebuilds when required. Our focus on maintenance allows us to tackle the large-scale earthwork projects that other companies simply can't handle. And our well-maintained equipment lets us complete any size project efficiently, on time and within budget – resulting in cost and time savings for our clients.
Safety
At Poindexter Excavating, safety is an important focus of the company. We employ a full-time safety director who ensures our employees are up-to-date on all safety programs and regulations. Each foreman at Poindexter is OSHA trained and many have taken additional training requirements including First Aid & CPR, Confined Space Safety, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Assessment and Hazard Communication. Our program includes weekly “toolbox talks” and continual safety training to keep crews mindful of general safety practices and hazards specific to their current work sites. We take pride in the safety and proficiency of each of our job sites and our attention to these details results in a safer project for all.
